India Update

Day 22      Pushkar to Udaipur

Today we slept until 11 and had a quick brunch before having to leave for the train station at 2pm. When we arrived at the station a lot of people wanted to take photos of us, but without asking, so CP the tour leader told them off but they carried on when he wasn't looking... We get this everywhere in India. When the train arrived there was a sudden crush of people and everyone was pushing and shoving to get on. Turns out we were travelling non ac class, basically cattle class, we had to get all the Indians out of our seats which was extremely difficult. Also we found that a lot of the Indians book one or two seats and try to load their entire family onto that space, fine, but when it encroaches my space I'm not happy. I spent the first 30mins being a moody meg as I was uncomfortable, squished and very very hot. But luckily I had good company in the form of my fellow gappers and the 4 of us had an alright time in the end. We arrived at 10.30pm and had a quick dinner before bed (quick by Indian standards, we finished just before midnight). BYE.x
