India Update

Day 20   Jaipur to Pushkar

We boarded a local bus at 9am, which once again has no AC So it's always a very hot ride in India. We drove for about 1 hour 45 minutes before the bus breaks down in the middle of no where.. Luckily, as always everyone is in good spirits and we laid down in the sun in the fields by the road and some of the group start playing an improvised version of cricket. The 1 hour passed really quickly and before we knew it we were on another bus, however, it was already almost full so we were squished on like sardines. We arrived at the hotel a few hours later and it looked really nice, it had a pool tool. We had lunch and I washed some more clothes (a daily ritual). We had an orientation walk around the city which was only 3km wide but holds the world's largest camel fair. It had lots of really nice market stallls. We were shown a lake which the Hindus think is holy so they throw parts of dead bodies in there with the belief that it will rejuvenate them or something..then we saw a cow drink from that water, can you imagine how much bacteria and disease is in that lake, ew. WE then visited a Hundu temple at prayer time which was really crazy watching them practice their rituals. We then went back to a nice restaurant which had nice outside seating in a semi circle with a gazebo thing above with plants and flowers on it. A film was put on while we were eating called Namaste London which was half in English and that was quite nice. I had the biggest bowl of ice cream ever. BYE.x
