Egypt Update

Day 11     Sharm

Today we set out at around 9am to head an hour and a half south to Sharm El Sheikh area. We got to the quad biking place and I was a bit nervous about doing it but we got off the bus and the guys did our scarves for us like proper Arabs and we were set to go. We had a quick lesson in how to work it, i.e. the 'go' and the brakes. When I say Sharm, we were in the middle of the desert, 45 mins out of the resorty Sharm. We headed out into the desert and from the first minute I did not regret choosing to do it as it was sooo fun. We drove past camels and over sand dunes and through the mountains. After an hour we stopped at a Bedouin's house (these are the people who live in the deserts and mountains of Egypt, Jordan, Israel and Saudi I think) and had something to drink. We then carried on for another 45 minutes in similar fashion, going over bumps and the same terrain I described before. It was so amazing. We had another break before doing another 45 minutes back. It was sooooo much fun and in an unbelievable setting. We then headed into the main bit of Sharm to a mall where we had lunch and Starbucks :)! After that we headed back once again for a quick change before dinner out in Dahab town. Once again another amazing meal. We then went to Mojito pub where it was the karaoke night. It was really fun. Jess and I, unbeknownst to us had been nominated to sing Dancing Queen by Abba so we did that. BYE. x
