India Update

Day 18 Agra to Jaipur

We took advantage of the Costa Coffee next door for breakfast (one of the group arranged for them to open early if at least 10 of us came). I had my favourite drink - mango passionfruit frappucino! We then got a local bus to Jaipur, it was a crazily hot bus. No AC plus my allocated seat was by the window on the sunny side so I was frazzled for 7 hours. We had an orientation walk around Jaipur which was quite crazy. It's known as the pink city and we walked through the pink streets and archways. It was very busy and crowded, like all Indian cities but it was a really nice walk. We finished the walk by climbing up to the top of a temple to have a view over the city and just watched the people go by. We then had a cycle rickshaw through the streets which again was crazy! We had a meal out with the group at a really nice restaurant. We popped back to the hotel to get ready for Indian clubbing! We went to a really posh hotel and wondered what was going on then they took us down to the basement where they had a night club or 'disc' as the Indians call it. It was really great fun with all the group, we all danced a lot and had a great time. There was some crazy dancing by the Indians and some strange Indian music but it was all good music to dance to and a lot of it was Western.
